Photographer's Note

Small sculpture of cats in Trzebnica.
The small town Trzebnica lies north of the regional capital Wrocław in the Lower Silesia. It is located on the Trzebnickie Hills, called also "Cat Mountains". This mountain range was formed during the Pleistocene (300,000 - 130,000 years BC). It is also the place where were found the oldest remains of prehistoric man, half a million years old. According to a legend in the woods there lived Ablahomoto Morectusas man who felt very lonely. One day he noticed that two beautiful wild cats live near the river. He became friends with them and lived jointly in the hills, called henceforth Cat Mountains.
According to this legend, the cats are a symbol of the city Trzebnica.
