Photographer's Note

The heritage park was founded in 1984 in order to save the traditional culture and wooden country architecture. It is picturesquely situated at the mountain side overlooking Sniezka Mountain and the Karkonosze Mountain Range. Various buildings were reconstructed here, for example a brick inn, belfry, barn and on the very top a gorgeous windmill. Every cottage is richly equipped with furniture and tools dating back to the 18th century and connected with agriculture, handicraft and farming. There is also historic working smithy. In summer the museum organizes colorful folklore events such a baking bread following old recipes.
In the photo:
The peasant hut built at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries as a wooden construction. The roof is covered with pieces of shingle.

What a perfect little wooden cottage. The red flowers in the windows add a small splash of bright colour. I like the viewpoint that shows the surrounding countryside. Excellent colours and sharpness - top quality.

C'est toujours agréable de revisiter le passé;
comme les petits villages d'époque; Les musées les font revivre et c'est intéressant.

Noch ein schönes Haus!
Ich finde es wichtig, daß die "gute alte Zeit" im Freilichtmuseum bewahrt wird, damit wir sehen können, daß wir es heute viel bequemer haben, mit Autos und Zentralheizung und Mikrowelle.
