Photographer’s Note

Szrenica (1362 m) is situated in the west Karkonosze mountains. The peak taken out is domed above the main back Karkonosze to the height of 60 flat on the eastern side it is tormenting steeply toward the Szrenicki Pot, and in the noon part gently "is going down" to the Silesian Back. Built Szrenica is granite rocks and the rock debris which are covering particularly an eastern side of the hillside. Granite deforested areas are covering yellow-greenish lichens which from a distance are looking like the hoar frost and therefore a name probably got down: "Szrenica".
