Critiques [Translate]

Hi Jerzy,
This is a very kind and talkative impression. Superb observation and splendid realization. I like the excellent idea and the playful atmosphere. Very expressive and fine shot. Thank you, nice days
George

Thats very innovative and very well planne and crafted. I simply love it The way the child and the man look out of the window into the dark is simply superb and you ve positioned yourself well to capture this tender moment so well. Nice colours and lights and great compsoition.

Hi Jerzy, very nicely composed and good colour in the image, never be backward in showing your different photographic style.

Rzeczywiscie, troche inne...
Dlaczego "new world" ?
Podoba mi sie to ujecie przez okno.
Mam wrazenie, ze znam skads tego mezczyzne...czy on juz wystepowal w twojej galerii ?
Pozdrawiam. Grazyna.

Hmmm, I'm not convinced Jerzy...
Maybe my tastes are too conventional, but the tilt to the window really doesn't work for me.
I have no problem with the large expanse of blackness, in fact I rather like it, but I just think this would have worked better with the window vertical in the frame. Maybe shooting in portrait format and including the whole of the window might have worked better.
On the positive side, I like the contrast between the warmly-lit interior and the surrounding darkness, and the poses and expressions of father and son are appealing.

Cheers,
Ben

Hello JErzy
The impression of the light in the middle of the darkness is wonderful as is th expression of the man and the kid. I have a bit of trouble with the noise here as I think that a clean photo would be better in this case (noise does work well, but IMHO, not here)
Regards
Daniel

Heja - czuję tu jaki¶ klimat, ale można to równiez odebrać za jaki¶ kiep¶ciak - szkoda, że to okno pocięte u góry. Półu¶miech dzisiaj ;)
Pozdrawiam,
T

Splendid idea - lousy execution..
1. That piece of window above...????
2. The main window is unpleasantly skewed...?
3. Why did you add noise..? Adding grain - yes (for certain artistic purpose, or cover the original imperfections). Adding a color noise - it's a horror.
Does your program have option "monochromatic noise"?
Still - the grain is the THING...
The noise...Naaaah !
Again...Extraordinary idea.
Lousy presentation.
--------------
Suggestion...Do it again...(Just the suggestion !!!).
Cropping out the upper window.
Straighten-up the bottom window.
Make it bigger.. Place it in the upper right corner of the black background.
No noise added.
It will be close...Very close…
What can be closer (read: more intimate) than an interior of someone's dwelling visible through the window ?
It's like peeking in someone's heart during open heart surgery.
Fascinating idea !

Love & respect
jurko

PS: Preserve the colors. What a warm, 'family' color it is !

Hi Jerzy,
Indeed a very different one, good light and expressions: I don't think the noise would bother anyone in this case, on the contrary it makes it look like a painting. I would probably eliminate the upper window which catches the eye a bit.
Friendly regards - Izzet

Gosh! How to write a critique after having read the one of George? I don't know. I just don't know. Oh well... I will just say that I agree with him. ....! What a disappointment! ;)
I don't know of anybody who doesn't look through the windows of other people when walking in the street at night. Some kind of fascination I guess. I do it too. (Yes, yes, I am not perfect!). But I would be uncomfortable if the two persons here were not looking (and smiling) at you. This is welcoming. And I am very happy to see their smile.
Jerzy Bucki, the king of human contact can do it even through a window! ;)
The warm tones are very, very beautiful...
Claire

Great framing my friend. This time I don't quite agree with George. My first reaction was, "what the heck is that cropped window doing on the top?". But know I find it crucial. I wouldn't like to see a window hanging alone in the hair. That single cropped (and ugly) piece of window on the top just connects this image to the real world. And I prefer the real world here to some kind of dream world. The tilt is amazing. I just don't like noise too much, but I can bear with it... Great photo!

Original crop and tilt Jerzy not to talk of the noise. Still you achieved an interesting result with all the black around. Maybe the window at upper part should be included, maybe not - still an interesting total, good work

Pozdrawiam, Olka:)
