Photographer’s Note
If there's one thing that always reminds me that I'm in the former Eastern Block it's the monolithic factories, with their red and white chimneys, planted in the middle of otherwise beautiful countryside. This is the electricity generating plant that supplies power for the town and the large steel works that is the largest employer in Stalowa Wola. It's a couple of kilometers South of the town itself and you have to walk past it if you want to follow the 'tourist' path along the San River.

Hi Geoff,
Very nice landscape, the chimneys are quite distracting.... I can see why they would annoy you, they would annoy me... You really captured this in the way you described it. Very nice work, the photo is not my favorite of your photos but nice work none the less.
