celebrate diversity, i'd say ;o)

love your note, jerzy ... it's pretty close to what i think about all of us around here ... right now (if i had one) i'd like to post a huge image picturing the most beautiful landscape ever, filled with a lot of people close-ups just to prove that we can all live together, and that there is enough place in the world or in this small (TE) world of ours for everyone

there is no need for us to be the same and even if we would, wouldn't that be infinitely boring???

there is no right way or wrong way, the world of photography and photographers is just as fascinating as the real world - but they are both fascinating because of their true colors (even if sometimes black and white), their particular sights and sounds and because of the myriad of photographers who's point of view we get to see daily

i could fall in love several times daily just by surfing around, or get angry or laugh out loud or get frustrated or simply smile or burst in tears or find like minded people at 10,000 km or if i'm lucky even somewhere around the corner ... but that can ONLY happen if not everybody's like me, not everybody dreams the same dreams, lives the same life, walks the same, talks the same, feels the same

your diversity image pictures this very well ... i like the shapes, the different directions, the shadows and the seemingly chaotic view - in one word: the diversity

Cheers to that note, Jerzy. In spite of you being a pain in the ass with the people thing ;-) I really admire your work and the way you funtion in this amazing place. The image is excellent to express the message, but I wonder why the females are so happy and joyful, while the males seem a bit depressive, like the "thinker" of Rodin...

Great shot, wrong post. Great shot because of the dichotomies shown: female/male, motion/motionless, impulsiveness/thinking, standing/sitting, real people / silhouettes... and well composed with silhouettes in perfect places, and well caught. Wrong post first because I dont find it completely or partially relevant to the peace thing, and diversity is a different thing; and second, and most importantly, because it's a pity that you chose a no-points day to post the shot, for it certainly deserves several smiles...

I love this scene of people dancing, it supports my belief that all that is impoprtant is health, love and joy and focusing on this is the only way to achieve peace. Sorry I didn't hear about this until after I had posted.
