It is for me a great pleasure to meet Friends from Internet and last days are fantastic in this respect. I like to be a guide and even if I have already tonnes of photos from Warsaw, I always take a camera with me. I met this week with Wolfgang, then I had a blind date :)with a friend of a friend of Mariusz, from Toronto, and I will meet two more friends today and in coming days.
I found this scene heart warming. This girl wasn't a professional street performer, she collected some money for a life-time journey for Asia. I found her smile really sweet.
Sometimes people ask me, what was my lifetime journey. Many of them could be - Peru, Patagonia, Australia, China.... But I think it is still before me. Maybe it will be Russia?
I like this chat with a horse but it is against TOS :(.

She has a great make up on her visage ! Good tones in the photo

A fine street shot with a fascinating subject. Is this girl a mime artist? The colours and textures are excellent and the view of the buildings on the other side of the road is equally engaging.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice Sunday.

A very fine picture of this attractive girl. But I think you could have concentrated on the girl and cropped away some of the background. I like your own WS pictures with other scenes of the street. But this girl deserves a picture of her own

Bonne prise de vue et bon cadrage sur cette scène de rue, couleurs et animation rendent vivante cette photo.
Energysavingelk (1971) 2014-08-03 1:59
this is a perfect symbol of the soft tenacity of the youth, following their aims undisturbed although this may require leaving well-trodden paths.
I wonder if a different kind of cropping, especially on the left side, might even emphasize this message.
The other versions are also worth seeing!
Regards from Rhineland

The photo is most appropriate for your essay. The girl on the corner of Zapiecek Street has a clown's forlorn smile, and a technical beautiful photo where the composition and colors are concerned. I too am not certain I've seen my favorite place, although Moorea comes close. I look forward one day to having you along when Carol Jean and I visit Warsaw.
snunney (98918) 2014-08-03 2:58
Standing on the corner, she is the star of the show, an obvious free spirit and good luck to her. I like the point of view, which also allows us a glimpse of the colourful buildings in the background. Great technical realisation. I wish you a pleasant Sunday with your friends.

A nice view from one of the lively streets of "old" Warsaw. The colours are good and the girl is spectacular, to say the least. I would expect the money she can collect this way to be enough for a day in India in a cheap hostel. I hope she has more resources than this for her lifetime journey. This composition is good, but I also think Gunnar has a point with this ws.
I will not show many photos from Gdansk. Because of the dull weather most pictures from there are rather dark and uninteresting, unfortunately. I am generally running out of "attractive" photos from Poland. Soon I will only have my personal favourites left. ;-)

This is a lovely photograph and it's even more appealing as this young girl is obviously going to become another "Malgo" in the future - someone whose main purpose in life is to visit every part of our wonderful World!
A beautiful photograph with lovely light and colours and excellent detail too - and I really like that look on her face - if she looked at me like that I would certainly give her some money!
I love your workshop picture too - it's brilliant!
Have a wonderful time today meeting yet more people!
P.S. I've just noticed the two other workshop pictures - yours and Gunnar's - of the girl by herself - both excellent!

Super fajna scena! Świetnie wypatrzony oraz elegancko zrealizowany kadr. Bardzo mi się podoba:)

nice portrait you captured.

I like her posture and quite original dress. Lifetime trip is a nice reason to collect money although I afraid it could take the lifetime to fulfill the budget this way. Cobblestone square and colourful houses look good too.
Royaldevon (38776) 2014-08-03 6:21
Oh, I think you may have set a precedent, here! We may see people with begging boxes all over the countries, their travel of a lifetime clearly displayed.
My travel of a lifetime ... maybe across Canada, from east to west.
It is a delightful shot.
The girl looks so pensive in her paper costume and her Pierrette make-up.
You have chosen a fine lead line, with the kerb, so that we easily obtain a context for the focal girl.
Have a great Sunday,

Provocative scene with the young lady in white-face and wearing a shredded outfit asking for money in front of a money exchange building, then a glimpse of Warsaw architecture in the background.
I am jealous of your world travels, but then I am able to see many wonderful places via Trekies photographs. And when I am among Nature's creations in The West I am inspired.
Plus being able to "share" via all the internet possibilities is intriguing, as if Life has zoomed forward beyond the mundane...
Keep up the explorations and fine photoworks,

Great subject, you placed this girl perfectly in the frame to show her wonderful surroundings with great depth and color. Her smile is very sweet, and her pose for the camera very nice, but thre does seem to be a sense do sadness about her too. I would guess that despite all the people she would meet, this would be a rather lonely way to earn money.
Thanks as always

this girl reminds me giulietta masina of fellini's la strada, and i suddenly felt sympathy for her, especially for her aim of collecting money. nice pastel colors from warsaw. russia as a life time journey? for a lover of peru and china? well, i wouldn't say so, but you know, perceptions are extremely personal, you must go and see yourself. you have tickets for transsib???

Hi Malgorzata dear
Beauty shot of a young woman looking at you. Depth and exposure, very well done. I'll invite you to my country, Iran. Congratulations and thanks for recording this beautiful picture.

Hello dear Malgo,
Chat with horse is also great but this one is so typical for many cities in Europe ! Once upon a time it was also my dream to travel with my Vespa around the World and don't think about what comes the emxt day. But I felt in love with my girlfriend than who is öu wife now since 45 years, and that was the end of my plans and dreams !
You see on capture of yours had brought me so faaaar away in my thoughts.
TFS and have a nice week ahead
For Russia I'll cross my fingers :-

I'd like to say I don't like this way to make money. This is not my cup of tea ;) She is very nice girl, she is not invalid, so why we must give her our money? I have big plans for travelling too ;)) AnywAy, this is very interesting social report from the streets of Warszaw.
Best wishes from sunny warm Ural!
See you soon!

Well, I have to give her full marks for motivation, enterprise and innovation! Good sharpness and diffused light with excellent color and saturation. The diagonal sidewalk adds dynamism. I like the different angles of the brick tiles too. The bg old city at right makes a fine backdrop. Hope she makes her dream come true. Tfs!

Very nice street scene, with attractive colours and a good capture of the expressiveness of the "model".
