Photographer's Note
Here we are in the Old Town area of Warsaw.
Its very early in the morning, way before the stores and restaurants open up. People are up early to walk to work just after the rain had fallen.
It wasn't until after i viewed the photo that I notice the woman in the Pink shirt had her head down, looking very glum and depressed, as if she clearly was in no mood to go to work that morning.
It reminded me of when my father always enforced in us as children to always keep your head up! :)
Just thought it was a bit of a funny moment, while capturing some of the daily life activity with beautiful architecture in the Old Town area.
Hope you like it.
Have a great weekend
Craig

Hi Craig,
Nice shot. Full of amazing vibrant tones. Especially, the yellow building looks great and eye-catching.
Good story for your pic.
Many thanks for sharing!

Great combination of colours. You choose a great moment to take the picture when the lack of people helps to focus more on the beauty of the old city

Hello Craig,
look down and be glum early in the morning?Wait, where do I know this from?:)
Excellent combination of daily-life and architecture photography.Apart from this apparently depressed woman I like the wet sidewalk with its subtle reflections. The architecture is also presented very good with so many details and in best quality. This is your another photo, where we can see how useful can be wide-angle lens in such scenes. It gives a lot more possibilities to create something unique and original.Like you did in this composition.Very nice scene from Warsaw´s old town.
Have a nice weekend

Hello Craig,
I like the point of view and the wet pavements. Interesting daily life composition, much enhanced by the coloured façades. Good saturated tones and very good detail.

Hello Craig,
Maybe she had lost her temper somewhere and was looking for it :-).
A good shot in spite of the woman's possibly glum attitude. Her pink shirt makes up for anything. Actually she is dressed, including her skirt, to perfectly match the pastel colored houses.
Nice shot.

Gert

Hello Craig,
Sometimew we have in front of us really lovely buildings or moments but from habit and from hastiness we do not observe them. These buildings are wonderful but the ladies do not give attention. Warm colours and beautiful details.
Have a nice Sunday,
Regards,
Maria

Hi Craig,
This is a super street photography picture. I like the way the lady in pink fills the gap on the shiny pavement between the old facade and the ornate lamp posts. Very well handled light.
Kind Regards, Ann .

Good Morning Craig,
Your father obviously instilled good practice. Without your head up, you would never have seen anything, never have become a photographer!
I must admit, the lady in the cerise blouse does beg for attention. She produces the storyline that adds animation to your early morning capture of Warsaw. She looks even more pathetic as she becomes dwarfed by the f/g lamp post.
I like how your angle draws us into the shot.
There are many pleasing details, like the wet pavement, the window reflections and the contrasting, busy figures that engage us.
Have a lovely Sunday,
Bev :-)

Hi Craig,
Very fine POV, a true artistic capture. It's funny when you think that the old town was rebuild almost entirely after the war from pictures and urban plans.
Enjoy a nice week.

Nicely framed shot of some beautiful old buildings, Craig, and the addition of a street scene makes it all the more interesting for its normalcy. As tourists - especially of the North American type as you and I are - it's sometimes jarring to think that people live, eat, work and play in these neighborhoods that I visit almost as though they're museums. This captures that feeling well.
You certainly have gotten some wonderful mileage out of this Central Europe trip - here's hoping they keep coming!

hi Craig,
Nice shot from Warsaw. Is she gloomy and depressed? I am not sure, maybe just thinking. This photo reminds me the time whan I went to work nearby to the work. Nice colours and composition.

Hello Craig
Oh yes, she really looks quite glum this one. This is such a typical scene for a majority of western society. It would do us good to keep our heads up some more.
Pleasing composition with the upwards tilted camera, it increases the story of the photo.
have a good day

Hi Craig,
An interesting note - and funny that your dad used to tell you to stand straight and walk straight - mine did that too!
A lovely colourful photograph of this old part of Warsaw and the recent rain, as so often it does, has brought out the colours beautifully. In fact, not only does rain saturate you and everything else, but it also saturates colours!
I like your composition, the lampposts on the left balancing the building on the right nicely and the addition of just a few people in the street is welcome, especially the lady who, as you say, looks just a little glum.
Lovely colours and textures and excellent contrasts, perfect exposure and, as always, exquisite details and sharpness.
Lovely!
Kind Regards,
John.

Very interesting perspective.
