Statistics say that you have to fly on plane every day for 23 years in order to participate in an aircraft catastrophe... Statistics... you can prove anything with statistics, even the truth...

A friend of mine, a top rank pilot of LOT Polish Airlines says that it is practically impossible to be hit by a thunderbolt while in the air... He also says that modern jet equipment you have on board warns you when you are approaching turbulences or any other risky areas in the air... And you better get the heck out of the area...

Hi Jerzy,
Really sad with the accident of France Airlines. Through your photo I understand that how hard a pilot working on the air with these complicated machine, do your friend tell you also the maximun working hours on a flight? Thanks for sharing.

Maybe the next days (I'm not sure) I will post a picture of another aircraft (a-320, smaller but similar than the a-330).

Good tribute to all the people we've missed in this tragedy.

Widok tych prze³±czników z kabiny nie da odpowiedzi na ludzki los. Katastrofa pasa¿erskich maszyn jest rzadko¶ci±. Przyczyn± mo¿e byæ awaria techniczna (b. rzadko) lub pogoda. Sam lot wraz ze startem i l±dowaniem jest spraw± prost±. Jak widaæ na niektóre zjawiska cz³owiek nigdy do koñca nie bêdzie mia³ wp³ywu.Mo¿na siê z tym nie zgadzaæ ale trzeba pogodziæ.
