I appologize to my Polish friends from TE that I start my little Poland series with this "place", but it´s a part of not only Poland´s but also history of the whole Europe. Probably the place of the most strongest emotions I have ever visited and probably the worst one. A great memento which commemorates quietly what all a man could do...
Just some facts to those who don´t know what is shown on the photo.
Concetration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau situated in the south-western Poland, built by nazis during WW2: About 1,5 million people among them Jews, Slavs, Romany people and political prisoners were killed here in gas chambers or they were shooted. Because these killed people were only "prisoners" registrated after selection this number is highly inaccurate...

I do agree with Dkeus. the lov POV emphasizes the drama of this picture. the B&W tones lead our attention to the tracks and the end station they brought convicted people.

this is a good picture to remember the madness of the human being. the low pov and the b&w add a dramatic atmosphere to the whole lot.

hello, I visited this place 2 years ago, I have to say that this visit have been one of the strongest experience in my life, after this I realised life and the thrat ofMass manipulation by crank people.
We have not forgotten on the past.
