Photographer’s Note
Every maniac has fun when he gets a new equipment. So have I.
I've got a new camera - Canon EOS 50D and - what is more important - new lenses - Canon EF-S 17-55USM/2.8 IS, lately. Which place could be better to check it than The Main Square in Krakow?! New body gives a lot of opportunities. Photos taken with ISO 1250 or even 1600 are almost silky smooth. But these very fast lenses... This is real marvel for me, decent amateur previously using kits only.
This scenery looks like a theatre stage decor, but this is genuine "street live" photo taken just in foggy The Main Square in Krakow...
Regards and have a nice weekend.

My compliments for your Canon. You merit the best equipment, Jan. I will follow your result. My dream is Canon 5D. The life is nice when you have the dreams. Your picture (the scene from theatre)is really temptation! Best wishes, dear friend to you and to Poland!

Hello Jan. A new photo equipment. Wow. Congratulations. But now you have to carry more weight. For photo enthusiasts, this is not a problem. In this sense, a lot of fun.
The night scene you've captured very nicely with your digital camera and the fast lens. On the poster is likely to see Frank Sinatra. Overall, a good shot. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Pozdrawiam,
Marek.

Hi Jan,
I really thought that this was on stage, when I opened it. Great scene with the light cutting through the fog, the black background and those people standing like having been placed by a director.
Congratulations for your new camera!

Johannes

Good evening Jan!
Here - of course - the title caught my eyes ;-))
Congratulations to your new camera, it's like a Mercedes ;-))! Really high-tech, and this photo shows that you handle it already in a skillful way. A beautiful atmospheric photo!
Greetings from - brrr! - Westphalia!

PS. Why in "photo information" isn't shown "more photo info", such as focal length, ISO ...? It often is interesting.

you know what? you're right - the light and the placement of the characters remind me of Lars von Trier's "Dogville"... the same theatre feel, the static position, the spotlights...
and the noise is indeed almost invisible...
=)
well done!

Hello Jan.
as you say in yr. note thilis looks like a theatre stage with the "actors" all placed like the "director" ordered.
Even the ilumination is quite perefect to enhance the seen, maybe some stages doesn't have this kind of ilumination on their scenes:)
Another thing that I noticed and like is this very smooth grain on top (right next to the light) it means more freedom for you to hang out and take profit of yr. new toy on night scenes.
Cheers.

Czesc,
no prosze, sprzet bardzo ciekawy, tez marzy mi sie taki jasny obiektyw z uniwersalnym zakresem ogniskowych,
widac ze wiesz jak go uzyc, zdjecie ma swoj klimat, swiatlo jest jego najwiekszym atutem,

Hi Jan
a good test for your brand new camera. The high ISO rating is so impressive with these new cameras, I own a Nikon D90 and I felt like "wow!" the first time I went for some shots in ISO 1600. I see you have a good lens too..the atmosphere here is great, it seems like you took this pic on a theatre stage. Have a nice day!

W świetle rozproszonym przez mgłę jak na scenie. Albo jak zwykle w kosmosie. Bardzo to fajne i mocno uwagę przyciągające.
Ale bym chyba słup postawiła jednak w pionie ;))
Pozdrawiam tez jesiennie T.
