Photographer's Note

In the village Suloszowa on a hill Pieskowa Rock rises to an impressive Gothic-Renaissance castle of the same name, whose arcading courtyard adorned with gargoyles modeled on the Wawel. Located in the picturesque place in the Ojcowski National Park dominates the valley Pradnik. Placed on a high rock over the centuries was not to come from the valley.

After World War II the castle was taken over by the Treasury, which made its restoration in the years 1950-1963. Today it houses the Department of State Art Collection at Wawel. An important attraction is also restored in the fifties of the twentieth century Italian garden in the southern part of the fortifications.

You should visit this charming place, which lies near Cracow in Krakow-Czestochowa Jura.

Hello Josef,
great the view of the castle on the hill with the surrounded greenery as the trees too,to make the image more interesting and effective.I like the light and the colour management as the clarity of the scene.

uroczy zamek o wyjatkowej architekturze. Bardzo chcialbym moc kiedys znowu sie tam wybrac. Swietny punkt widzenia poprzez pasmo zieleni.
