Sokolica peak (747 m)on the scenic "Falcon Path" in Pieniny Mountains with its relic pine. It is said, it is the most often photographed tree in Poland, but here on TE i haven't seen many.
Above horizon, on the left range of West Tatras with Kasprowy, Czerwone Wierchy and Giewont.

Part of the Western Carpathians, the Pieniny is a relatively small range with dramatic views and a rich wildlife. Its limestone peaks, upthrusted millions of years ago, are lower than the Tatras, but equally lofty, their vertical faces towering above steep, wooded slopes and the spectacular Dunajec Gorge.

In 1932 this area of exceptional natural beauty prompted a decision to establish the Pieniny National Park. Created on the border between Poland and Slovakia, is Europe's first and the world's second international nature park (after the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park straddling the Canadian-USA (Alberta -Montana) border.

Najlepsze są Tatry na drugim planie. Ale i Pieniny niezłe. To zdjęcie przypomina mi klasyczny (podręcznikowy) widok pieniński i właśnie background nadaje temu zdjęciu dodatkowego waloru.

Serwus, Mat !!
What a wonderful view of the Carpathians !
Great nature shot full of colors of wild vegetation. The branch in front was very well positioning giving perspective to the pix !
Well done !

świetna kompozycja, niesamowita ostrość i wyrazistość każdego planu, najlepsze jest naturalne bonzai sosny na pierwszym planie doskonale zgrane z rudawym tłem i moimi ukochanymi Tatrami w oddali

Good use of the details in this compo. Powerful use of the rugged foreground with the tree of course, but also nice perpspective and depth by the background distant mountains. Strong fall colours is also good for this compo.

Hi Mat,
I can believe that this pine is the most often photographed, is really nice, a splendid graphic and in full light against the red/brown background. Exceptional perspective from the pov, very interesting panorama (and, i suppose, very interesting place to visit!!)
Ciao & thanks!
Giorgio

Hi Mat,
What a wild beautiful wilderness you have captured. I really like your POV here, with the framing of the foreground with the unusual gnarled tree and the eye being led down into the canyon and beyond to the distant landscape. Though a little dark, this is a very impressive and dramatic shot. Well done, Mat.
John
