With travel plans set for next week, I thought i'd get in the mood by re-viewing some photos from my last European Holiday.
This scene I remember well. Its taken in Krakow Poland. Perhaps not the typical Krakow scene, but thats the point :)
What I remember most about this photo isn't the large Ferris Wheel in the bg or the water reflections...it was how Hungry I was!
For some reason we couldn't get breakfast that morning. By early afternoon I was so hungry I almost ran down to the bike lane there to chew on some legs!
Anyways, we found some food not too long after - which was good news for the passing cyclists :)
Hope you enjoy this one

Craig, that's what is good about photographs, they rekindle strong memories!
This is a strangely incongruous photograph; the cyclists aren't what you would naturally link with a large Ferris wheel! However, it is a delightfully composed photograph, with a strong f/g triangle and focal images, abstract reflections and good links with the b/g.
Have a great w/e,

lovely scene from Krakow. I have studied there for 5 years, I love this town. Interesting composition, I won't say anything new here stating that you have a great eye. The bikers add a very nice touch to the geometric pattern: there are plenty of lines and of course a repeated element of the circle. The guy in yellow T-shirt seems to stare at you...
Very well seen and captured.
Have a great weekend,

Ciao e buon fine settimana.

No geometry this time (aside form the wheels and horizontals) but an image that reminds us that composition is everything. Well observed, Have a good weekend.

Nice, dynamic composition. Very good colors and perspective. That is not typical view of Krakow, but it's very intersting.

Krakow is a very old town and most tourists take photos of Wawel, the royal castle, and you have taken the present life, bravo

I have to say that your photos always call for attention among the 18 thumbnails of a page because they usually, even as small as that, look so much better than most of the others. Everything here, from the ferris wheel through the parallel green areas to the bikers show that you know how to spot the right shot and how to compose it.
PS In Turkey you will find no lack of food :-).

two photos for the price of one! well, even the pink building back there would do. so, it's three for one :) don't eat legs when we meet, please.

I must admit, cannibalism was the last thing I expected to read of when I clicked on your post, but hey, as a fan of horror films I believe there is always a place for a bit of rampant random zombie attacks! And what a cool place to do it, I like all these wheels, the bikes, the ferris wheel and the painted bike on the path. I like that the guy in yellow is looking straight at your lens too, perhaps he was able to read your hungry thoughts. Did he speed off just after you took this by any chance?? Haha, great shot, I really like the composition on this.

Many wheels here, at least eight if you count reflections and painted wheels. A good theme for thing capture.

Hi Craig, original composition from Kraków. I do not remember where this ferris wheel is. Not important. Nice view of the bikers in danger. i am carnivorous bit I have never been so hungry to want to eat human legs. I can imagine men's legs, muscular, hairy. Brrrr. Luckily they were faster then you and run away.
That is so nice in photo, you remember some events otherwise you would forget.

Your composition is great showing the bikers in the foreground and the Ferris wheel in the back. The reflection adds nice depth and balance for the shot. The lighitng is great as is the color and sharpness.
