Photographer’s Note

This is part of old architecture in Podlasie Land.
There is many old wooden houses, above 100 years old...
Some of them are damaged, but many is very good!
It's village Serpelice, over the Bug River - good place to rest and fishing.

Hello Elzbieta,
Lovely contrast offered by the laced curtain against the dark wood. Decentered window makes for a very good composition. It's also good that you chose to shoot close so that the window occupies a relatively large area in the frame. Well done.

J'aime cette opposition du vieux bois exposé aux intempéries depuis longtemps et de ces rideaux fragiles qui indiquent la présence de la vie dans cette maison. C'est une photo très réussie et qui témoigne d'un excellent coup d'oeil.

Your shot is rather dark, due to that weathered wooden planks, but it can certainly tell a thousand stories about past 100 years. Little white curtains only enhance that feeling of seclusion.

I love the sense of the old dark wood against the beautiful well cared for white lace .. wonderfully seen and composed .. I might have cloned out the near flower .. but then again I wouldn't have seen the beautiful shot to begin with ..

Really it is a fairy tale window, the elements that appear easily give to the window that condition. The pov you have created enhances these elements, the light accompanies the effect very well too.

like very much this type of house,traditional and looks well preserved..depends what wood is there,of course,after so many years,the wood it's spoiled..interesting crop for this one,the window it's well placed,not in the center,fine details..like,too,that traditional curtain,a little white in this pic.

All is in the title !! You're right, it looks like unreal...
You saw that right and you captured it perfectly, with style and impact. Except maybe the dark upper layer, but that's a detail...

Very good detail you captured here Elzbieta. Compowise well disposed and a delightful setting of light and saturated colours. Maybe a little more crop to the left had worked as well - but anyway a fine total in this photo.

Nie ma co - robi wrażenie. Przede wszystkim podobają mi się kontrasty - ciemne zniszczone ale jakże piękne ściany, kontra bielutkie koronkowe firanki. Przepięknie na tychże ścianach zagrało światło zachodzącego Słońca.
