First leg: Going West
Maybe you have seen the invitation to do a TE trek into the Atlantic: Faroe Islands.
This is the first little report. Going from Oslo, Norway to Bergen at the West Coast. Weather - more or less as expected "off season". Looking down to the Aurland Fjord in heavy rain and strong wind. Only 3 hrs. left of the 8 hrs in car. Just recieved a phone from the ferry Bergen - Faroe Island in the atlantic: 8hrs. delay due to bad weather. What fun.. You should have been here. Tomorrow in the Norwegian Sea probably no Internet Connection - be back later on :-)

Hello Jack, here we can see nice perspectuve due to catadromous fjord, really nice deep, tfs.

Bonjour Jack,
un pays qui est magnifique même sous le plus mauvaise des météos. C'est le cas ici et tu as parfaitement joué les faibles lumières présentes.
Une vue très profonde et typique de l'endroit et des fjords.

Hello Jack,

Ces montagnes ressemblent à des muraillles infranchissables.
Impressionnantes nature. Dommage que le temps n'était pas de la partie. Je penseu qu'une version noir et blanc aurait été plus appropriée.

Hello , Jack .
Even on a rainy day , a landscape can be special !
I like the grey tones and the way the mountains are "weaved" towards the middle of the photo , giving a perfect sence of scale along with the "tiny" trees on the mountains !

La brume donne un côté mystérieur de cet endroit trés montagneux qui entourent le lac, belle préservation des couleurs et lumiére du moment

Wow, that's a place I have to visit.
The dark atmosphere is excellent. The nature seems powerful. The Fjord looks so deep and... attractive !!

Very nice this one, Jack, it delivers a fine rendition of the bleak but very atmospheric autumn weather. The dashes of green are enjoyable in the otherwise almost monochromatic setting. Have a safe and interesting trip.
