Photographer’s Note

A quintessential view of the Lofoten Islands, here Austvågøy. This is a view over a small inlet to the east, behind is the main arm of Austnesfjorden with mountains around Blåfjellet and Trolltindane (amidst which the famous Trollfjorden is hidden).

Red fishermen huts scattered over the islands (always very near the coast) offer in general a refreshing warm colour to the otherwise colder natural colours of sea, vegetation, rocks and sky above all. Rare moments provide one with clear views and nice light, more often (and more appropriate would be) fogs and low clouds cover the scenery.

Red hut is very attractive in your already beautiful photograph. Its giving a good depth and adding splendid contrast rest of your frame that full with spectacular cloudy sky-water and green. A clever, wonderful view. Congratulations.

Wouaw, quel beau paysage aux couleurs chaleureuses de l'été. La composition est très bonne, avec ces quelques nuages sur le sommet des montagnes, et cette cabane qui a presque les pieds dans l'eau. J'admire!
