Photographer’s Note

Perhaps strange time of year to upload this picture, but good to remember that in 6 months time Tromsoe probably will look like this..

Picture is from upper part of Tromsdalen (Troms valley) where the last snow is melting in mid summer. The city of Tromsoe is visible in the background.
It is on the route down from Tromsdalstinden where you can see this view.

It's nice to see the last snow is melting away in the the mid summer, must be still cold out there!
good pov with total sharpness, natural colour and details to enjoy and view!

hi jon,
a surprising kind of summer scene- all the snow still solidly gathered on that creek's bank! good POV to show us the vast extent of that not-so-far-away city! this "last snow" reminds me of the same vista one encounters driving up to lake tahoe (california) in the summer.

But you picture is like a consolation and hope?!
I wish that we have much snow here in Greece, but nothing happents.

Hei Jon,
Pleasant early summer atmosphere, the image is another proof North of Norway had the best summer weather this year!
I like the point of view and the snow covered stream, and the birches putting on their green coats...
A well balanced composition with a good lead-in to the snow covered summit in the back!

Nice to see this picture.. It gives me hope .... :) The winter seasons has not yet started in NYC and we already have two minor snow storms.
This picture has an excellent compositions, a good details with excellent depth and light.

Very fine compo Jon. I like how the foreground snow is reflected on the mountain.

I only wish that the aspens would stand out brightly, but it seems that the light was a bit to harsh to get that.

Great time of the year to propose this picture!
Days become longer... it is the perfect moment to think about spring !!!
I like this view which is very profund.
The shadow of the cloud makes a nice contrast on the trees and this last snow which is going away ...
