Photographer’s Note

When one crosses Vikafjellet plateau, after the last road tunnel (going on Rv-13 to the north) one quickly emerges on a hairpin bend with a splendid view to the Sognefjord. In front there is the end of Boadalen (valley) leading to the town of Vik (at the seashore), behind is the fjord and Kivnefossen (waterfall) on the other side. Just to the left (out of the view) is the Hopperstad Stavkirke - one of the famous wooden churches found in many rural locations around Norway.

I was pleased by the colours and the clearness of the view, there was no fog nor clouds (as in many other instances).
