The Director II Photo

Photographer’s Note

In this second shot of the director (well known Norwegian actor) we close in a bit while he is setting up an outdoor theatre play for a group of amateurs in the old fortress town of Fredrikstad south of Oslo.

Of course clothing is essential for the director, as you can see , -)

It was an option to crop the boy to the left – but in the end I choose to keep him ‘in place’ - strongly engaged as he is in the instructors presentation.

Hi Jack, You started another mini-series? This is a fine crisp one, again the group which is tied together and the dramatic tension. The boy is indeed vital. Love the combo of the TH shirt and the reading glasses ;-) Great job.

I think you were right in leaving him in he adds to the story, but what I really like is the puzzled face of the woman behind the director, seems his message isn't comming through that clear ;o) Interesting subject and a nice event shot.

Very good continuation of the story with this zoom towards the director. The student at the right doesn't appear to be totally focused, and the Tommy Hilfiger shirt makes a wonderfully ironic contrast with the moderately intellectual moment. Again a nice color setting; good catch, Jack.

No more old-time stage anecdotes from my side today :o)

A very interesting shot, Jack. I like the play of light and shade - with the cap shielding the director's face. Very well framed.

Je ne connais pas trop ce type de scene mais ici le cadrage serré donne un joli rendu et cela ne doit pas etre facile a cadrer de la sorte.
Le classeur reste pour moi le point fort car mon regard retse a chaque fois bloqué dessus.
