Photographer’s Note
From Vigeland park, the Sculpture Park in Oslo. The park contains 192 sculptures with more than 600 figures, all modeled in full size by Gustav Vigeland.
The foreground is the gate to the monolith (Monolitten), one of the main attractions to the park. At over 14 meters tall, the column is covered with entwined human bodies and is carved out of a single block of stone.
I went there last easter, despite the quietness of oslo , this park still attract lots of numbers of visiters.

Hi Cessy!
well done composition. I remember these huge sculptures, a little funny. In your pic it looks like a piece of cacke, or maybe something anathomic, an intestine... :-)
Nice blurred foreground

Very clever composition. It took me a few seconds adaptating here and there to figure out the spatial layout. The note was very useful to understand the scale. I like it!

Hi Cessy,
A very intresting shot indeed. I was in Vigeland park a couple of years ago and I am amazed that I missed this angle!
Reallly nice!

Bonsoir, Karina.
J'aime bien.
Amicalement, Grazyna.

Hi Cessy,
In the time I visited this fascinating park I did take Black&White pictures. I developed and printed myself in a dark room. Maybe a nostalgic idea for some people but I’m glad with the digital age.
I like your B&W image and the DOF you used. The picture has a beautiful symbolic, with the individual in front and the mass in the monolith at the background.

Hi Cessy,
A good compo through the gate with focus on the monolith.... B&W works well and the framing is accurate and well done.
Looks good!
