[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photograph was taken in a small valley about 1 hour from Aurland. I asked the owner of the Aurland Hotel if he knew of a beautiful valley and he asked me if I was an "advanced tourist". I didn't know what he meant until I turned off the highway and went one kilometer through a mountain on a single lane narrow path without any lights. I was very relieved to get out the other end and find this scene.

The original photograph was a large panorama which I decided to cut down. Panoramic views can show a scene in a much more realistic way than a standard photograph, but with panoramas the wide scene can lose some of the symmetry and perspective of a smaller section of the picture. The photograph shown is about 1/3 of the original panoramic picture. The color was slightly enhanced using Overlays of the A and B channels (about 10%) in Lab Mode. The picture was then re-converted to RGB and the Green and Red channels were sharpened using the Unsharpen Mask. The normal halos from sharpening were reduced by not sharpening the Blue channel. A cooling filter was used (about 20%) to bring out the blue color of the water and the mountains in the background.

La verdure, l'eau les montagnes et la neige. Tous ces éléments sur la même photo.L,eau éetant forcément au niveau cela me donne une impression réel de la pente..Bravo

Very impresive place

Hello!
It is a really nice scene of the Norwegian mountains. Although there is not much going on in the scene you once again managed to capture something more than just a landscape.
I don't know why - most probably because of the amazing colour composition - you entrapped a feeling of a very nice, sunny and hot day in the mountains. The fresh green on the trees only adds some more of such feeling. A great photo.
