Sparse, yet oddly compelling image Halgier - although the houses visible on the far shore detract a little from sense of isolation which attracted me from the thumnail view.

Interesting detail of the dog where the pier has almost disappeared and gives a look as the dog is walking on water...
I like this simple compo in the bw setting with the overall grey setting.

The atmosphere is not very warm with all that grey color, but the image of the dog (you dog) at the end of the pier which is nearly blending with the water makes a very nice catch.

Simple composition and a quite interesting photo.
But... a little too centered to my liking.
The photo looks good and all, great contrast between the pale background and your dark dog. But I feel it is simply too centered.

Hi Halgeir,
This is quite an interesting image in a surreal kind of way. I think your choice of black and white reflects the weather conditions. It's obviously very dull but I believe that an increase in contrast could be beneficial to the overall appearance here.
Your composition is really good. Using the dog as a focal point in the image has worked well because, without that, the pier itself would become kind of invisible against the lake.

Hi Halgeir, I like this B&W conversion although I may have applied a little more burning in some areas and increased level. The stance of the dog on the pier is , well just great. Well done.
