MAIDEN OF THE FALLS II
A previous posting showed a more expansive view of the waterfalls at Flċm, Norway. In that image, the Maiden of the Falls, was seen virtually as a microscopic figure amidst the rocks standing by a hut on a rocky outcropping in a terrifying site! The present image presents a close-up of her dwelling (the vertical wall that is part of her hut) and the flat promontory on which she makes her way to the edge of the water. She seems to time her appearance with the momentary stops the Myrdal-Flam train makes in order to allow passengers to climb down and photograph the falls. The short pause leaves them drenched by the spray, and singularly awestruck by the site.

An impressive shot of the forces of the nature. I love the light here in this shot against the light. Excellent contrast between the black rocks and the white/greyish colours of the water fall

Well Good Evening Bulent. I have to say your photos here at these falls attracted my attention as soon as I opened your gallery. What a wonderful capture of thunderous magnitude! Water is one of the most difficult to photograph and fast moving falls in sunlight is the most challenging. All sorts of technical settings and filters come to mind when facing a scene like this. You did very well in capturing this one Bulent. In a small way it reminds me of a falls I captured this last summer up in Whistler area. Here is one of them. I had to use my limited skills in photoshop to address the terrible range of lighting between the trees and the bright water falling in the sunshine. Thanks for stopping by.

Just received your message for which I thank you very much. I also found some time to look a your latest pictures, and found this impressive one where one really feels the
power of nature: I am under the impression that I also hear the thunderous roar of the falls. Almost a BW picture: Very nice.
Am I right if I think that the characters of your signature remind those of Leonardo ?

what a beautiful picture. Astounding scenery and very beautifully captured. I love the lush brown mountain slope and the gushing down of the water, the light is very good and the the colours are very strong. I like the close up of the falls too, which gives this a lot of impact. Nice note.
