Surroundings of Svartisen glacier

Driving by bus home (to the south by main way E6) we have crossed polar circle and before Mo-i-Rana city we had a stop to hike to Svartisen glacier.
There are two ways how to get from bus parking (at background end of the lake) till glacier: by small boat or hike along bank of the lake. We have chosen to hike. It took about 45 minutes fast walking and jumping over puddles and small streams flowing in the lake. When I step to the stones near glacier, my feet were completely wet.
As said our team leader, when he was there previously, in the place from which this shot was taken there was ice. But in two years glacier retreated for several hundred meters :-0!
The lake has very unusual colour. At least, I saw such for the first time. Approaching to parking along road from bus we saw "milky" river having its source from this lake. Somebody explained us, that glacier moving grinding stones and thawing ice powder gets into lake and river.

Eventually, it is end of my north-Norwegian travelogue.

Hello Jurijs,
This is a fine composition, well balanced and with good lines, from a good point of view!
I notice there is a boat on the way across the lake, and the nature in this end is still marked by the ice...
Good colours and pleasant details... A fine note!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Jurijs,
Indeed a beauty which forced me to open the thumbnail.
Very well done,
Rajeev

alai,

Hello Jurijs, the thumbnail intrigued me so I opened it. This is a very atmospheric shot. The colours are excellent with generally a good balance. Nice work.
