Photographer’s Note
I'm a bit inspired right now of trolls. As you might know (or don't know) we have, for a long time, been haunted by trolls in our country...
In my hunt for trolls, I try to describe for you some of this myths. Like these small ones; not dangerous (as you see I shot it with a 35 prime) but you should not scare them since they have been known to attack under pressure. One is ok, but thousand? They fear the light as all other trolls (exept humans being changed into trolls), and it can do them seriuos harm, and eventually turn them into stone. many of our mountains in Norway are actually Trolls (of the big kind) that lazed a bit too long in the morning, surprised by the sun and turned into stone as they lay there resting. I wonder what would happen if the spell from the sun DID disappear...

What the heck are those little lights? Are you trying to tell me those are the eyes of many trolls? And what are these trolls in terms of people that were under the impression that trolls were fictious creatures? But interesting shot, I like the black and white.

Very nice shot!! I am almost starting to believe your story, and I am not gullible! They differ very much from Tolkiens' trolls. I feel happy that I did not meet these creatures when I was in Norway a couple of years ago. :-) Very nice story.

Great fun! I like how you varied the distance between the eyes to give a feeling of different sizes. Perhaps the ones nearest the camera should be a little sharper - or do all trolls have slightly fuzzy eyes?

An Icelandic very old traject folk story turned into an Norwegian?! The story of Trolls are none arguably from Iceland. Anyone who cares to read and look into it will be able see (Thjodsogur Jons Arnasonar- folk stories mad by Jon Arason" for excample! There is exactly one story there about Trolls turning into Stones!
Many, many years back we have been telling stories about Trolls and theyr turning into stones.....
In fact many of Icelandic "Lava" based landscape and mountains shows stone figures like some trolls....
But anyway! Nice picture! Strange yes, probably made in Photoshop?

Very atmospheric, like a farytale becomes real in front of our eyes. Very nice idea. Impressive!

Your note is extremely useful - there has been far too little written about trolls by serious zoologists. I do hope that they're not an endangered species...

Ha, this is a funny shot!... and a good note. I love the "eyes" you used to make trolls out of the little grass mounds.
Looks like a very marshy, wet area to walk around while "troll" hunting.

I also have no clue what the lights are...but that does not matter. Quite a shot you've got here, used your immagination to the max. Wonderful use of B&W...looks like an image from a children's book. Well done!

Lucky guy. Here in Switzerland, the mountains are haunted by "Dahus" and unfortunately I have never succeeded to make a good shot of them. I should visit Norway and practice with trolls...

I like your humour and how you just changed a marshy looking landscape into a very evocative troll community. Black and white makes it a enough scary to generate nightmares! Very good imaginative shot.
