Fugelvåg Camping located on a peninsula between a river and the Ålvundfjord is a tranquil place to pitch your tent and enjoy the wonderful norwegian summer evenings. Due to its location, right where a freezing, blueish river is flowing into the fjord, the place is very popular with fishers, men and animals, the later making a lot of noise for the better part of the never-really-dark nights. So on a second thought, the lots right on the shoreline might not be ideal for light sleepers, as we've found out the hard way :-)
However it is a great basecamp to explore the natural wonders of the Sunndal municipality. It's main attractions, the hicking paradise Innerdalen valley and the gorges and waterfalls of Åmotan are missing in many (most?) travel guides, an advantage for the ones prefering less traveled paths.
Speaking of less traveled paths, adventuresome drivers should try the Aursjøvegen, a switchback road leading up to and down from 900m in a hair-raising manner. Be warned, it's over 50km gravel road and not really for the faint hearted or caravan lover. (How about a 1-track tunnel, without lights making a 180° turn?)
This image shows the view across Ålvundfjorden directly out of our tent around 9 in the evening.

The light on the graduating hills and on the water is great - very tricky to get right I'm sure. Men in the boat provides a nice point of interest in the right location

Excellent "framed" picture with a nice sense of depth.
The people in the boat is a good point in the picture.

C'est toujours magique ce genre de lumière, et avec l'ombre du bateau encore mieux
Très belle image.

I was amazed when I saw Your photo. It's just magnificent.
I like the composition ("The rules of third")
Very nice natural colors and good lights.
It's a good idea to set boat with this people in the right corner.
And of course nice view.
In my opinion exellent shot

I love shots like these that present us with a receding range of hills, fading in to the horizon. Almost like a Japanese watercolour. Well done!

Very peaceful scenery thanks to the lovely sepia tones. The little boat gives so much balance and makes for a great focal point. I wouldn't mind driving around Norway for the flexibility. It would change from train, boat, bus and bike.

Lovely pastel transparence of this light engulfed landscape. The two persons in the boat are exactly in the right spot to give distraction. This must have been the compensation to your strong heart minded trip down there.

I admire how you caught the hills, small boat and everything in sepia!

Hallo Adrian, really great shot. I like it in every element: light, monochromatism, graphics. Molto bravo!!

Very gentle colors and subtle shadings is what caught my eye here. The color of the sky almost plays with the rearmost horizon of the hill. This world looks somehow flat as the hills have no visible dimension. As if they were cut out of carton.
The icing on the cake are the two people in the rubber boat in the front, which are a nice counterpoint to the hill view. A romantic picture.

Superbe image, j'adore les différentes teintes de ces montagnes ainsi que la couleur de l'eau avec ce petit plus que représente cette embarcation sur les flots.

This picture is all about the different degrees on the soft sunset tones which are really nice.
I like it.
Men on the boat is a good touch.
