This is the little village of Bø, along the beautiful Flakstadpollen, near the town of Flakstad in the Lofoten islands.

This was our second day in the islands, and after managing to drive 35 km in 12 hours on the first day, we aimed to drive straight from Svolvaer to Å (160km), the Lofoten's southermost city, without stopping on the way (and then, we would be able to take our time going back up). We almost did it, but when we drove along Flakstadpollen, I just had to stop. This 800m-mountain, falling right into the fjord, the incredible colors of the water, the snow, the small houses, it was breathtaking. The water in the front of the picture is very shallow and that's where the color comes from (you can see it well in the Google map, if you zoom out a little).

When we drove back in the afternoon, the tide was low and instead of this turquoise water, there was only muddy sand (but it was still very beautiful).

Hi Sophie, great view of the mountains with beautiful colors even after the scanning, well composed and exposed.

Salut Sophie

Tres chouette couleurs.

I really like this one! Especially the view of the village which looks so tiny compared to the mountains. I like the two tones in the water and the sharpness and contrast. A beautiful photo, Sophie. I will have to look this place up on the atlas. I went as far north as Narvik once, but I presume this is further north than that. Thanks for interesting notes, too.
Regards,
Andrew

Beautiful, Sophie! I just commented on one of Viviane's pcitures from Norway, and I have the same feeling here, ther's so much peacefulness in the nature of Norway, as if it breathes the existence forages and ages and it untouchable by human influences. (which it is not, of course, we have to be careful with nature).
The little village nested between the lake and the mountains looks beautiful. Did you ever see this picture of Terje? Here it seems not so peaceful, but like in your picture, there's a village on the far end. I have a print of this photo, and I love it.

Salut Sophie,

Hi Sophie,
A beautiful mountain range by the sea..!
The wilderness of the landscape is emphasised by the tiny houses on the shore...
Well composed image, with great clarity in colours and very fine details..!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Very beautiful photo and nature, the composition i EXCELLENT, the small part of warter and the rest top.
The smaal houses give it perspective, the light and contrast is SPLENDID.

Bonjour Sophie,
