Photographer’s Note
The coast of Svalbard (Spitzbergen) north of Longyearbyen. On the left you see the ship Polaris going up further North.
Since the end of the World War I, Svalbard officially belongs to Norway, but has a special international statute laid down the 1920's Svalbard-Treaty. It's highest local authority is the Governor.
More infos on Svalbard can be found here or here.

Good composition (ship placement), but I would rather tilt the camera just a bit up, so that the land gets to the 2/3 of the photo height. It is very interesting, and should be in the best place to see it.
So - a bit more land, a bit less water. But anyway - still A+.

Hi Mike,
Very nice panorama, wel composed with this boat and mountains, good effect on the foreground with the texture on the sea and these small waves.

Salut Mike,
Belle ambiance nostalgique du bateau qui s'en va...
J'aurais essayé de couper une partie de l'eau en dessous pour que la partie ciel soit identique à la partie eau et que l'horizon soit au milieu.
Ciao
