The effect created by selectively desaturating this image is very impressive. The colours are so vivid and contrast very strongly with the b&w. Your pic is very nice composed and the image quality is extremely high. Excellent work, Jose. I LIKE IT! :-)

A pesar de que a mi en particular no me gustan mucho las fotos retocadas en extremo... debo decir que esta es una muy buena esepción. Creo que la combinacion de los grises con los colores intensos de la parte original quedo muy buena!. Buen enfoque y una muy buena composicion!. Excelente trabajo. Un saludo

Jose, j'aime beaucoup ce travail fait en post-traitement sur cette photo. Le travail sur une photo est souvent tout bénéfice pour un cliché et a toujours fait partie de l'expression du photographe. Il est devenu plus facile avec l'ordinateur mais c'est tout. La photo est bien construite et les deux couleurs sont un vrai plus pour le cliché.

Some never would like such a explicit impact on a shot, so be it, but staying on the level of the limitations or handicaps of a tool is indeed missing an open chance to put your personal artistic touch in it, so I approve the explicit PP here on a fine perspective of this facades where the colored ones stick out in a good B&W conversion.

Hola Jose! Aunque conozco este lugar y se que lo impactante son los distintos colores de las casas, y sus reflejos en el agua, tu manera de enserñarnosla desde otra perspectiva ha sido una gran idea, creo que esta muy lograda.

Esta foto es un excelente ejemplo d lo q decías en tu crítica sobre la mía... Hay q tener cuidado con estos experimentos, pero cuando funcionan se consiguen imagenes tan bonitas y originales como esta. Eso si... a la foto lo falta un pelín d definición... Pero en cualquier caso, un gran trabajo!!

I like the effect, Jose, but it was my understanding that images posted on Trekearth could not be manipulated. Has this policy changed? I have not bee posting for a long time. Anyway, you are certainly an imaginative image maker and have good control of your craft. You have a good eye for photography and know how to use digital editing tools.

Buscando alguna foto interesante me he encontrado con esta tuya y encima tomada por un paisano mio jejejeje.
Me encanta del modo que has visto la escena. La desaturación de colores en combinación con el b&w es arriesgada en muchos casos pero creo que el resultado es grande. Los colores bien balanceados y la definición excelente. La composición tambien es grande.
Hoy no dispongo de más smiles, pero mañana regreso.

Trsè originale cette présentation de cette vole norvégienne.
C'est le genre de PP que j'aime beaucoup et même si il dénature la photo, il met l'accent sur certains éléments tels les architectures particulières.
C'est en tous cas bien cadré.

Selective desaturation is a technique I really like and I used in some in my past contributions. It works perfectly well here, and the graphism of your picture is very nice. The result appears very dynamic and crisp.

A familiar place to me, as I spend most of my time in Trondheim... You capture the old warehouses from a good point of view here, I also like inclusion of Nidelven with a tad of reflection...
A well composed image with good details, and your post processing makes it more eye catching!

I look at some more of your images Jose! This is brilliant, you are giving me some great ideas. The post-processing I think is what pushes this to a high-level making it abstract and artsy. But that stands on it being a very strong composition to begin with. You took a very good angle on this row of houses.
