Photographer’s Note

This is the lovely Waterfall ("Fossen" in Norwegian) near Tuv, a few kilometres from the bigger town called Hemsedal. It was a very gloomy and rainy day when we visited this Fossen. Lucky for us it stopped raining and we were able to take some decent photo's. We spent an hour at the waterfalls and we didn't see a single person. :) It was so quiet and peaceful there. We loved it. Because it was very clouded the colors on the photo are a bit dark, but I still like the photo as a whole. It looks a bit fairytale-ish because of the mist and all.

I really like this shot with one small exception, it would have benefitted from a slightly longer exposure to impart motion to the water.

Superbe photo Pieter, un peu de fraicheur ne fait pas de mal de temps en temps. J'aime beaucoup ta prise de vue avec ces cascades et cette verdure en forêt.

Actually, I can't find anything to criticise...only praise. In my opinion, I can't see where it could be improved. Maybe a slightly longer exposure would have blurred the falls and given it another dimension, but the water is great as it is here. I like the detail in it. The colours are misty, making it look like a fantasy land. Perfect POV, sharpness, colour and atmosphere. Well captured. It's lovely.

Perhaps a longer exposure would have been OK and maybe the water is a bit burned out (to white)and the forest a little dark. But these are minor niggles. I have not seen these falls before and they area very nice. You have captured them well.

Yes, it's a bit dark, but no, it's not disturbing:D

Great picture, you can almost hear and feel the water. I also like the vage shapes of the trees to the left.

I really like this Pieter. I'm surprised you didn't post it on TN as it is a wonderful landscape photo. The darkness is fine and I agree, it does look fairytaleish (is that a word??)!
