Colourful winter, a photo from Hordaland, South

Photographer's Note

Another picture from Bryggen captured at the end of January. This winter we`ve hardly had snow, only a thin layer a few weeks now in February, but now that more or less has disappeared too and the temperature is now around 7 degrees celsius. In this picture the charming distortions of the old buildings is visable when you see it against the yellow line along the quay.

Beautiful colors and excellent composition.
The light is great.
Reflections are more beautiful with rolling vofe.

un grand classique tout en couleurs fortes, un soleil très amical t'assistait sur la scène. Image astucieusement basée sur les reflets, même si je l'aurais aimée un peu plus symétrique.

I have been to Bergen and stayed right here. Love these colors in the waterfront. Clear reflection, a treat to the eyes. Superb composition with colors, sharpness and lighting.

Je suis surtout impressionné par la beauté des reflets de ces maisons en bois colorées de Bergen. Je crois que j'aurais recadré pour ne garder que les reflets et fait une rotation de 180° de l'image?

oh, i know this location very well, i can spot it a mile away.
this is probably the most photographed spot in Brybben right...
and i can see why.
when you have a bright golden light, take advantage of it.
love the reflections and colors.
the only thing i may change is cropping it a bit.
just my opinion, but i'd eliminate the top part, leaving the photo with the refelctions and the horizontal yellow line just above the tires as the very top of the frame... check it out - scroll up or down the screen to create that composition, and let me know what you think.

Nice deep foreground with the calm water.
In this case I make a stitch of two pictures for making a balance between the housses with the reflections.
I use this way since a couple of years.
