Blue memories, a photo from Oslo, South

Photographer's Note

Paolo's favorite colour is blue, so I have something blue here from my archive.
I find most of capitals much more attractive than Warsaw. For instance Oslo - near the city centre you have such a nice fjord, forests, sailing boats. No need to go anywhere (at least in summer).
Something for Gunnar as well, but maybe too pink and too small accent for his taste.

I have no good memories of women day, so I ignore it :)

Hello Malgorzata,
I got my brother in mind before reading your note. I think you made a fairly good assessment. This is a fine view with great colours and light on this beautiful day. Fine boats, a pleasant atmosphere, and at least a bit of pink is better than nothing.

Hi Malgorzata,
what a fantastic view on this well known place where the young women in foreground play a nice role! The light is really pleasant and it is creating a fascinating atmosphere. The blue colors are amazingly beautiful. My compliments, also for your notes. I do not care about the women’s day either!

I see a wonderful three mast ship in background, it's a ways nice the taken with sails.
It's very nice done, soft contrast, nice colorfully background.
This gives very nice image, it's perfect done.
Sharpness and clarity be superb.

Hello Malgorzata,

Superb blue color with a beautiful contrast sea/sky. The another color arise very well in this blue world. I like too the two popels well located in the FG.

Yes It was exceptionally blue sky that day wasn't it and I do like the contrasts in colour and the angle it was taken. Good clear detail too with lovely deep blue water and nice ripples. A picture with great depth and the wharf deck leads into the frame while good touch of stunning pink in the foreground provides an anchor and contrast so sharply against a glorius blue. Its sharp with loads of detail too, beautiful sunny afternoon, Great capture

Il faut croire que le mois de juillet est très beauà Oslo et les gens semblent bien en profiter. Le bleu de l'eau est magnifique et les voiliers sont superbes à l'horizon.

Actually I remember the fjord going out of Oslo with a ferry toward a night sail to denmark, This trip was on 5/1980 and yet, Malgo looks just almost the same - Don't have pic.s from that trip - I used all film i had than...
Great compo. as far as the Fjord's horizon and boats within.

Hi Malgorzata,
Well, the accent may be a bit small but the mere fact that this is Oslo, one of my favourite cities, forgives everything. I am just trying to find out exactly where in Oslo this could be. I don´t really recogize this part. Could this be at Aker Brygge? But as you say, in Oslo you are close to nature, sea and forests are very near. I really like this beautiful scenery!

this still and tranquil atmosphere in the blue scene is wonderful,
almost blue ocean and sky view, and several boats and people are seen in it, it is simple but beautiful,
it reminds me of the very old song of "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding, do you know?

Oslo is one of my favourite town, so quiet and clean...
I remember well this harbour in a sunny summer day just like in your photo. It was here that my camera broke down (I was shooting slides then) leaving me utterly irritated! this photo reflects well the serene atmosphere of Oslo and the lovely fjord where is situated. And the sight of the sailing boats is alwayas dear to me.

I think that you have the itchiest feet on TE! You are always travelling to new and interesting places and now we see you are in Norway. Beautiful calm scene, lovely colours and good sharpness. The composition is very well balanced. Great job, TFS.
