Photographer's Note

It was early in the morning, say 5.30 a.m. I was out since 5.00 am and was trying to find an interesting light, perhaps reflections of the lofty peaks. I was equipped with a tripod. Suddenly my eye caught the reddish horizon, announcing that the sun would show up soon. I placed a 1,7x NIKON converter on my 70-200mm lens, and focussed on the distant island. 340 mm was the maximum I could get on my D700. In order to get more depth of field the ISO was set on 500.
