Photographer’s Note

A peaceful fine xmas for all friends on TE with this xmas card of Dec.
In fact it is the view from our cottage described by my TE friend Dmitry (mikalych) as the 'most photographed place at TE'. He should know as he with his family was one of two TE friends visiting during their stay in Norway in the year soon to end.

Maybe, but why not: Thousand photo from one place could work as good as one photo of thousand different places.

Superbe prise de vue de ce paysage sous la neige et de ce coucher de soleil en toile de fond.
Très belle carte de Noël Jack.

A wonderful winter scene, Jack. The snow-coated trees and land look great in the subdued light setting in front, but what equally holds my attention is the beautiful degradation of colors in the sky, as well as the layer of haze above the ground in the back. Very nice.

A very merry Christmas to you and yours. Someone at work sent an e-mail today with holiday greetings in 20 languages - the Norwegian version read "God Jul og Godt Nytt År" - hope that's accurate ;-)

Really xmas feeling, this snow scene with the red sunset on the sky.
I love the foreground with frozen trees but also I like the backgroud mist.

Very nice winter scene Jack, I prefer beach scene, but when it's beautiful...it's beutiful. Could have worked in a panorama format also, well seen.

Stunning Jack! The setting (?) sun is a gorgeous backdrop for the winter scene in the foreground. You even have a distinctive sky. I guess if you take enough photos from the same place, you will achieve what you have here, a beautiful scene, just right for the holiday season. Season's greetings for you and your family as well. Indeed a beautiful Xmas card, very peaceful atmosphere, warm red sky (is this natural?)on a cold snowy ground. Can hear the crunch crunch of feet walking on the crisp snow..maybe it's Santa coming !!

I agrre with your note, Jack, this si the most photographed place on TE, but each time it looks different, depents on season, weather and even the hour of the day. And this one is very special and well captured, perfect for Xmas.

Hi Jack I missed that one, it's a splendid winter postcard, shooting time is perfect and plenty of landscape details can still be seen, also due to the great sharpness. The snow covered trees and the warm tones band of the setting sun are optically superb.

Jack, this is a really lovely Christmas scene, after staring at the photo I expect Santa and his reindeers to appear at any moment. Wonderful colours and scene, I will forward to my friends as a christmas card.
