Photographer's Note

This is the season in Bergen right now. Yellow and red trees dominates the landscape. This way leads to Mt. Fløyen, which is one of the seven mountains surrounding Bergen.

This is a great technical photo.
Usually people want the entire scene well focused and sharp, but you focused in on the rail at the curve.
I love it
the background is still clear enough to make it out, and see that its beautiful.

Usually people would have had the entire scene in full focus, but using a narrower aperture. But I like how you chose to do something different. The sinuous curving fence is a great subject as it almost slides our eyes into the picture...good use of sharp focus in the FG, while the autumn colours are in full bloom in the OOF background

Hi Fredrik, I have always thought Norway had just 2 seasons: summer and winter. But your photo proves me wrong: it conveys to is the impressive beauty of Autumn in your country. Great balanced and colorful composition. The shallow DoF highlights the curved surface of the fence nicely leading into the photograph. You used the "S" shape to a good dynamic effect.

My first impression is that this is an extraordinary composition. This photo represents the autumn in the right way, with all its colors. Here is a very well-balanced ratio of red, yellow and green colors which dominate in the autumn photos. I also like the blurry background of this photo, because the composition seems stronger.

The fence curving in from the right draw the eye towards the mix of colour. Good composition with soft light gives the feeling of autumn.

Your photo has made me remember "seven lakes" in my town Bolu, in Turkey.. they really resemble to eachother.. the autumn colors are amazing... and your skill of making DOF is the other beauty of the photo.. it looks well but the atmosphere needs a person that walking on the leaves maybe.. anyway i like it..
