Sailboats at rest in Oslo harbour

Rådhus bryggene (literally “the wharves of the City Hall”) consist of four small wharves in downtown Oslo right in front of the City Hall, at the head of the Oslo Fjord. This is of course a favourite place for city dwellers and tourists for strolling, enjoying the air and the view while looking at the boats, and occasionally for taking a few pictures. When facing the fjord, the historic Akerhus Fortress is on the left hand side (seen on the photo) and the popular Aker Brygge wharf/shopping center is on the right hand side.

Photo taken in autumn in late afternoon, a little before sunset. I was then looking for a subject to test my new 10-20mm Sigma lens.

Rådhus bryggene (littéralement « les quais de l’Hôtel de Ville ») sont quatre petits quais au centre ville d’Oslo tout juste devant Rådhusplassen (« la place de l’Hôtel de Ville ») à la tête du fjord d’Oslo. On y voit régulièrement citadins et touristes déambuler lentement, regardant les bateaux et appréciant la vue sur le fjord. La forteresse historique d’Akerhus est tout près sur la gauche lorsque regardant vers le fjord (visible sur la photo).
