Fløyen or Fløyfjellet (originally Fløien) is the most visited of the seven mountains (of syv jell in Norwegian) that surround Bergen. It is part of a massive Byfjellene and funicular Fløibanen, which transports passengers from the foot of the mountain to the summit in about 8 minutes.
The top of Fløyen lies 399 meters above the sea level
The funicular is used by tourists and residents of Bergen throughout the year. Children (or anyone wanting to go back to childhood) use in winter to descend the mountain sled.
