The sequel to yesterday's pciture: after pulling th braces on the left (here, the starboard side, because I am facing the rear of the ship), these braces are tied. On the other side, the opposite braces are being tightened by the second half of the team working on this mast. The picture was mainly taken to show the green "blackboard", which the little flat model used to show the positionning of the yards and sails duiring the different phasis of a tacking manoeuver.

PS: I know the deck looks a bit white here, as if the picture was very oversharpened (perhaps it is a little bit so), but most of the white color comes from the dried salt: the deck has not been washed with fresh water seriously since we left Best (now about 10 days ago, I think), just a slight rince from the rain here and there.
