Photographer’s Note
Yesterday, I explained a little in my note about tacking, since the picture was showing ropes (braces of the yards) coiled in such a way that they would got smoothly when their equivalent will be pulled from the other side.
The new two pictures were taken during such a manoeuver: here, part of the trainess are pulling on what I believe to be the braces of the mizzen mast (the only one were the braces are forward of the mast, for the other mast, the braces are behind).
I will post another one tomorrow in horizontal format, so that you can see the little ship model hanging on the blackboard.

This is a great example of how healthy and funny life can be on board of those wonderful ships. I wish I had their age and the same opportunity. I would not certainly miss it.
