Photographer’s Note

On board Sorlandet, the curve of the foresail above the front bell located on the foredeck. Since they used to maintain the old traditons on the ship at that time, this bell was used by the look out to signal anything, and to answer to the officer of the watch that he was still present, when the diffrent parts of a watch were ringed.
As you can see, the weather was still fine that day, and there was plenty of wind in the sails. On the right, the strange tube is the end of a ventilator. Next to it, also painted yellow-cream, the tail and ring of the spare anchor.
