Sørlandet at home (II) Photo

Photographer’s Note

My very last view of Sørlandet for this summer 1992. The next stop was Hamburg, where I decided to spend a few days on my way home: the night ferry from Kristiansand to Denmark, then the train (several trains...) to Hamburg, Germany.
But all this will have to wait till August 22, the day when I will be back from this summer cruise with the Tall Ships' Race 2008 (if everything goes well). Next stop: Maløy, Norway, then Bergen, and finally Den Helder in the Netherlands.

Very nice holidays for those who have that chance, and a very nice week end to all the other.

il faut dire qu il a qu en meme une belle gueule ce rafliot.
Et avec cette dernière image je sais à quoi servent les machin vu sur le pont l autre jour...ne pas abimer la belle coque.Serait utile dans la vie à terre ausssi ...hum.

Probably you cannot you read this text on time. Today I read, after a hint from Lars, that you will be in Den Helder with one of the tall ships and I already had planned to visit this event tomorrow. There is a small change we will meet there or find out later that he one of us has a picture with the other on it.

This image shows well the fine decorations, and the confusing details in the rigging (confusing for a layman, hehehe)!
I like the point of view adding dynamics to the image...

Il faut avouer que c'est une belle bête. Et la photo est très bien réussie. Le format est bien choisi et permet de mieux admirer les détails. Je l'ai vu à Kristiansand au mois de juin.
