The Valley of My Childhood [15]

I was thirteen when I left Gauldalen behind, after living there since I was born… In this series it is my aim to show the diversity and daily life in this area, during all seasons of the year.

Smoke and dust, noise, strong backlight… and a feeling of chaos!

I could not resist this scene as I passed by on the road, and photographed the situation through the windscreen!

They are building a new bridge across river Gaula, and the connecting road parts on each side. And they are supposed to be finished by the “end of summer 2008” according to the roadside sign…

Promise, I will publish some nice autumn images after this!

Gauldalen is the main valley in the central part of Norway in the county Sør-Trøndelag, and the valley is well over 100 km long, and the river Gaula runs in the valley in the northwest direction from its origin in the mountains around 30-40 km from the Swedish border. (64/171)
