Endalen Road, a photo from Sor-Trondelag, South

Photographer's Note

This is the gravel road winding through Endalen in Forollhogna National Park. This is a privately owned road, and you have to pay toll for the usage depending on type of vehicle.

The road is usually well maintained but as you see it is narrow and curvy! Fun to drive actually, but you have to be careful since the width is about 1.5 cars...

Personally I love the days when weather says it is scooter time! You never get as close to nature as on a scooter, or on a bicycle for that matter. The warm breeze in your hair, the scent from nature and the sound of silence...

Along the road you pass several summer farms, like the one we see here. Special for Forollhogna NP is that quite a few of the summer farms are in operation, you can buy their excellent quality dairy produce on the premises and you can say hello to the cow that provided the milk!

The winding road is well placed in the composition and draws the viewer into the scene as well as creating a good sense of depth. I like very much the natural verdant tones, which contrast prettily with the lovely clear sky. Light, colours and sharpness all feature well here. A most agreeable landscape image.

The curves of the road is sending my eyes toward the mountains which is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the famr and of the mountains. The morning light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

This is a great landscape shot. The winding road leads the eye through the shot perfectly. The inclusion of the trees on the right was a good choice adding framing and depth for the scene. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has excellent sharpness and DOF.

The old gravel road cuts quite a figure as it snakes through the heavily wooded countryside.
The trees and sky contrast brilliantly and the small farm buildings really catch the eye.
Looks like a great place to visit via two wheels.

I realise that this is an autumn scene, but the strong lighting make it look more like spring. The photo is very well-composed with the long and winding road. The back-light also makes it very attractive. It looks like it was taken on a warm day. TFS and have a nice evening!

I love the way the road curves through the wonderful scenery. I can just see you cruising down the road on your scooter with your monkish hairdo. The other day I saw a fellow cruising down the road on his scooter with his water buffalo in tow in the trailer behind. Sadly, I was in a bus with no time for a shot. Do you suppose that you could get your squirrel buddies to cruise down the road with you on your scooter?
