Photographer’s Note
An old photo taken in Oct 1987 of the old wharves in Trondheim. These warehouses along the bank of River Nidelva date back to to the 18th century. I was told that many of these buildings have been converted into residential properties. I assumed that the historical facades would be preserved. The colors of the original image do not look as pleasing anymore due to age. Maybe in b/w it would look better. See WS for the color version. Thanks for looking and have a nice week.

It doesn't seem to matter how often I see such reflective images there is still something, as long as rhey are well done, which excites something in me every time.....an amount of sky detail has been ;lost but nevertheless it is an interesting composition - simplicity rules in this case but there inside it is a lovely complexity of detail.
best wishes Kev

Hey Latiff
I like this B&W version more, but it's ok in color too. I always like to see reflections and this one is perfect. And the quality is fine although it's scanned. Very good!
See you around

Hello Latiff.
An interesting b/w shot that makes the most of the three different buildings and the reflection to create a great graphical presentation of lines, diagonals and squares. I like the tight cropping and the b/w finish - it took a bit of courage to put it up instead of the colour version, which also looks good. You did a good job of the scanning of this old photo.

Andrew

hi Latiff
I like your tight crop and the quality of 1987 is surprisingly quite well maintained even in B&W. The symmetry and composition is executed well.

I think both the original and the WS versions are good, they convey the historical aspects of these buildings which to me looks excellent in this composition. There is beauty in the rugged conditions

Hello Latiff,
I like the b&w version as well as the colour version.
The vertical format is very good because you want to show the three warehouses and their reflections in the water.
Very beautiful picture of interesting architecture.

Hi Latiff,
the composition counts here! The vertical frame with the balance and symmetry thanks to the reflection of the water is surely well chosen. I like the color version very much too. Although the color do not looks pleasing as you said, is the real one. WS straightens us out on what you exactly saw then.
Best regards,
Athanasios.
