Walking my gull Photo

Photographer’s Note

Spring sun in the modern parts of Trondheim, in a newly developed area at what used to be the harbour inlet. A very hard spring sun fell on this shiny new walkbridge and how could I refuse that? As background a new hotel in a very contemporary style.

very nice photo Ebbe, again the composition is really good - very aesthetic, the kind of graphism i like. this small person make the scene unique. at this size it is hard to notice this bird though. good work

The long, slightly sloping line of the bridge with the pillar at one end and the human figure at the other is placed really well in the frame, the composition is tight.
In the left side the figure (the bridge) is bright on dark background, in the right side the figure (the human) is dark on bright background. This reversal is a part of the dynamics of the composition.
The bright sun is a feature too of course, the cleanly rendered textures and details is very much due to that (sharpness could be better though, the seagull is just a few smeared pixels).
And there is a bit of the human vs. technique theme too.

Hahahahaha!!! I love it! This is a fantastic one Ebbe. It looks great in BW, and it has a great graphic quality with all the straight lines--and then BOOM--a lady with her gull.

Hmmm, what I thought is a lamppost in the distance with a bird ON it, seems to be the gull itself.
I was fooled
NO, I still think it's a lamppost, a gull would probably have flown away.
Anyway, I like the graphic picture, strong lines, and a human element.

Very simple, but very strong and effective. It is nice to see this women to the right, because otherwise the photo would have been a little bit boring maybe.
But I like the way you have captured here. She looks a bit lonley and vulnerable. Good contrast and light. The b & w give the photo a nice mood.
