View to The Valley Photo

Photographer’s Note

This small cabin is overlooking the valley Gauldalen in Central Norway, and the village down there is Singsaas around 80 km from Trondheim. The valley continues eastward and will end near Røros not far from the border to Sweden.

I have never checked the purpose of this small cabin, if it is for rent or simply serves as a guesthouse for the nearby farmer… one thing is for sure, enjoying your morning coffee there on a fine summer day must be pure pleasure!

Much of what you see here is the outskirts of the biggest forest on this globe, the taiga, stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean, through Scandinavia, Finland and Russia.

Hi Pablo!
This is a great POV, and as you say, more than one would love to enjoy morning coffee, while admiring the incredible view!
I love the sharpness and vivid colours of the hut together with the grassed roof!
The view over the valley and the river must be breath-taking and the blue forested hills in the background give an impression of infinity, especially when one knows they are the beginning of the biggest forest on Earth!
Well, at least, they (the forests) are not all being destroyed, which brings a smiley amongst all the sad events !

I think you have done good work on presenting Norway that I have come to enjoy, especially with your posts on the farms, countryside and mountain landscapes. You have always presented something that I wish to know about Norway, like this one of the grass-covered-roof house and good depth at f/11 to show the valley view below with some detail of the houses.

Very nicely composed with the young tree at right, and brightness level of the sunshine to get this superb scenery.

I'm afraid you're right, what pleasure it would be to wake up on a nice summer day morning sipping some coffee and over looking this view. Or a glass of wine in the late afternoon would be alright too. Beautiful iamge, I only wish you could take a few step foward and avoid the foreground dirt all togther, if that was possible, I guess you would miss the cabin or it would be too close. The depth in the picture is excellent. Good 'window' of view framed by the red log cabin with grass growing on the roof! Good quite clear view of the valley with the houses and river (or fjord?), between the greenery. Good work!

Very nice view indeed, one feels envious for not owning the charming cabin. I like the compo and I am surprised how you managed such a pleasant photo with that light, that makes the BG hazy and dark. It seems that such has the effect of making the FG stand out.

Very pleasant to have a look at your gallery on TE. Very interesting picture, presented with a fine composition. Amazing for me to see herbs on the roof of this cute red cabin. And it's true you must have a fantastic view from there on the taiga.

A telescope would be a convenient tool for the occupants of this lovely cabin to know all about the bustle down in the valley!
An overall impression of serenity is given
by the blue cast and the juxtaposition of near shack to distant mountain creates much space for soul unwinding!
