Dandelion Fields Photo

Photographer’s Note

Last Sunday afternoon the dark clouds started piling up after lunch, and the weather developed in a direction that was not promising good photo opportunities, heavy rain was more likely!

Fortunately the clouds drifted by without causing downpour, and later the situation cleared up with nice blue sky in the evening.

This time of year is dandelion season, and the flower is really brightening the landscape providing fine colour contrast with the greenery!

Great view Pablo, a real strong and powerful image. Great to see those small buttercup flowers on the field and how they stand in perfect contrast to that dark sky. How you created the composition with the hill going upwards to the right is also very good. A good shot...i really like it.

It's quite amazing what a small dot of red could do for the comp. The red barn is almost a signum for you. Good diagonal dramatic sky.
The dandenlion have whitely gone to sky down here in Gnesta.

Beautiful scene Pablo.The composition is good with the sky being the most dominant feature.The red barn just adds that extra bit of colour.

Pablo, I really like the colors and details. I would say that the composition is lacking just a little because of the lack of a real focal point. The fine details are nice, but I get lost looking for something to give me perspective. I think if maybe a lower vantagepoint close to the flowers of ground may have worked, or closer to the tree on the left to lead the viewer into the scene more.

The diagonal of the black cloud mirrors nicely the slope of the land and gives an impressive dramatic effect. The yellow is wonderful too, setting the land ablaze. A beautiful shot with some lovely additional charming features, such as the red house.

Wow, gorgeous image, Pablo. The contrast bettween the dark threatening sky and the attractive yellow field is wonderful. Love the > of the composition and the depth to the right side. The thin yellow strip in the background is a very nice detail. I even think that the image would be stronger without the trees at left. Superb shot!

A beautifull prairie covered with flowers, which makes a very good balance to the dark grey sky. The composition is very well balanced with three triangles, one for the ground and two for the sky.

This is a great photo. The contrast between the yellow flowers and the dark sky is fantastic and that little red spot in the middle makes the perfect separation to the eye. The inclusion of the trees on the left did balance well the composition. It is a very good landscape picture.

The bright yellow colour is such an opposition to these dark grey clouds rolling over the countryside. It is so easy to imagine rain pouring down from them any minute.

Obviously your dandelions are more team spirited than ours - yours blossom together while ours have been blossomimg here and there individually for almost three months by now:-))

did you tried dandelion's salad, it's famous with roasted bacon, It is necessary that the plant is young and soft. and you could make numerous salads with this field.
however you have achieved a very nice scenery, contrasted and colourful.

I posted a few days ago a dandelion field , but not with a so dramatic light. Here you have a contrast between sky and yellow of flowers.
Really good composed with the red house in the bottom right corner. Good eye.

Such a sudden threatening cloud over the meadow!
Its shape combined to that of adjacent sloping hill has the appearance of a huge mouth blowing bad weather!

Hi Pablo, that's a very ominous looking sky, especially when you put that small red barn up against it. Then you really realize how huge that storm is building up to be. The dandelions add some colour, but really it's the farm with the hill of trees rising up into that dark sky that does it for me.

I love this one. The cloud formations looks so dramatic. Hard to believe they drifted away with no rain. I know dandelion's well however in this instant they look so beautiful, not like in my lawn. To me this is one beautiful composition.

I think after times go Pablo that just this kind of weather often is more interesting for photos than sun and blue sky...
You got yourself a fine dramatic sky still with some interesting light on the ground covered with flowers. Nice setting where you also use the left tree good in the foreground part.

Le nom de ces fleurs est plus beau en anglais qu'en français. Chez nous ce sont des pissenlits. J'aime ce premier plan constellé de fleurs jaunes. Dans le lointain, un champ de colza répond au jaune du premier plan. Le ciel est sublime.

Luminosity is great over the dandelion fields and contrast nicely with the grass and the overcast sky creating a beautiful atmosphere. The red house or barn adds a nice color touch too.

This pre-stormy light against the dark clouds works wondeerfully well, fir the rest I like this dynamic framing that gives a great sensation of space, the lonely house is a good eye focus point.

I never thought dandelions would look so nice on an open field. We usually get rid of them in our backyards. Very nice picture with a good contrast of colours. The yellow fields are truly eye catching and the dark clouds add drama to the scene. Thanks Pablo.

I love stormy weather. It always produces such strong pictures. Your composition is good, shows a lot of space and that tiny red cottage is essential to give some scale to the whole scene. Very nice indeed.

I like this very much. I wish we had some clouds like this in Greece, at the moment. One of the folk names for Dandelion in England is 'old man piss the bed'since eating the leaves is supposed to have a diuritic effect. I love the way the shape of the black clouds is almost a reflection of the hill.

These dark and threatening clouds are beautiful, but I like that there is also a little bit of blue in the sky on the other side of the photo. The field full of dandelions is gorgeous and I find the composition with the hill at the right hand side and the tree at the left hand side very good. Thanks for sharing!
