[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hell is a small village of 352 people in Stjordal, Norway. The name has made the village somewhat of a minor tourist attraction. I don't remember what made me go to Hell and back. It must have been my travel bible at the time - the enormously popular "Let's Go Europe" among the North American backpackers. You could keep your return train ticket to Hell as a souvenir, and have your passport stamped at the train station in Hell. I thought that was cool.

Mona Grundt, Miss Universe 1990, is from somewhere near Hell. She made Hell world famous during the competition for the title.

Hell means overhanging cliff or cave for shelter in the Old Norse language. This shot was taken after a short walk from the railway station in the Autumn of 1987. I did everything I could to clean up the scanned image. Thought of cropping the top off a little bit but decided to leave it as shot. I generally do not crop my photos unless to correct tilt or lens distortion. I hope this is good. Have a nice day.

Hello Latiff,

as that there I would like a hell well.
Beautiful general composition, even if I would have crop half of the sky, where I find that it misses a little matter, Ive made a small WS for him given a little more glare.

Best regards, Dino.

Hello Latiff,
Hell, what a name in English language, not in Old Norse! If you hadn't wrote the note I would have written "Is there calmness in hell?"!!! The point of view made the landscape more beautiful, in my opinion of course! The reflections are so nice, too. Have a nice day,
Athanasios.

Hello Latiff

Robert

Hello Latiff,
Seems like Trondheimsfjorden was very calm that day!
A well composed imag with beautiful colours, fine feeling of depth...
Impressive and accurate information in the note, I might add that today Hell is most known because of Hell Blues Festival!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Latiff, that is actually a funny remark around this post. Looking at the thumbnail I was wondering why Hell. Well. after reading your note I'm educated and can smile. Anyway, the composition really transmits the feeling of calmness - in Hell. The reflections at the rigth side contributes a lot for the success of this shot.
TFS, Peter

Peace and tranquility... nice place to stay at..
Thank you for your kind words!
Cheers!
