Photographer’s Note
This was taken in front of the famous glacier in Briksdal, close to Olden. It's called Briksdalsbreen (Briksdal Glacier), and is a part of Jostedalsbren, the largest glacier in Norway.
This summer day in 2006 was a nice and sunny day, but only 10-15 degrees.
Today, Briksdal Glacier is smaller than in 2006. It's almost broken on the middle. Some scientists thought that would happen in not too many years, but luckily it was getting a bit larger in 2008 after a terrible 2007.

Erling,
This is a nicely composed shot with the line of dark green trees providing a border between the river and glacier. The river leads the eye into the shot nicely. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.
TFS,
Asa
